"Growing up on the Lower East Side of New York City, I had always been surrounded by graffiti which today is called “Street Art“. As an artist, I had always wanted to create “Street Art” but until now the opportunity hadn’t presented itself.
Recently my neighbor had placed a large outdoor children’s slide in front of her house to be thrown out. Over the years I have enjoyed watching my neighbor devote her life to raising her children to become wonderful human beings and outstanding students. I've transformed the slide into a work of art, representing today's often complex family life. The openness of the chain represents my hope that we can all connect as human beings and support each other.
After more than five decades of creating art that educates, inspires and embraces life's experiences, I believe my work continues to influence the way people view the world around them."
