Despite a global pandemic, or perhaps because of, 2020 home sales in Lido Shores were again strong. That mirrored the housing market in Sarasota as well, with a rise in sales, higher prices and fewer available listings.
Lido Shores continues its two-year metamorphosis, with a robust 18-properties changing hands this past year... but down slightly from a record 24-homes sold in 2019. No wonder there are so many new faces in the hood these days.

With home sales, there are lots of new neighbors to welcome... and some we just hate to say goodbye to. Among them, longtime LSPOA member Christina Landry, who sold her home at 1339 Westway Drive... and Canadiens Marg and Dan Mills who lived for ten years at 1252 Center Place.
We also say goodbye to Kent and Jean Williams, who sold 1461 John Ringling Pkwy and moved to Lakewood Ranch to be closer to their kids. And longtime Lido Shorian Howard Rooks, who sold his home at 246 Westway Drive to move downtown.
With 18-new property owners in Lido Shores.... the LSPOA Board of Directors is busy compiling an addendum to the latest 2020 Directory. It will include new member contact information and is expected to be available sometime in mid-January.
