Pavilion Repairs to Start Soon

Some much needed repairs to our Lido Shores beach pavilion are about to get underway. At Monday night's (April 1) LSPOA Board of Director's meeting, board members voted to approve a portion of a proposal presented by Ball Construction, the Pavilion's original contractor.

The board approved repairs totaling $4,050, which include:

1)  Repairing the roof's galvanized metal drip edge to prevent further rust and damage.
2)  Changing the nuts and washers on the beams and posts.
3)  Replacing 18 - 2" x 6" planks on the entry ramp.
4)  Replacing 3 - 10' boards on the cypress benches.

This is the first major repair work to the Pavilion, which was completed in 2004.

Board member Elliott Himelfarb is coordinating the repairs for LSPOA and is expecting construction to begin within the next few weeks. Stay tuned – we'll keep you posted on the progress. ~BT
