Our Lido Shores residents are a talented bunch, none more so than
Carol and Phil Fuoco, the creators of
MovieReviewers.com. According to the Fuoco’s,
"Two for the Show – Movie Reviews by Phil and Carol", began in 1996 as a way to communicate current movie happenings to a small group of suburban Philadelphia film lovers.
The pair has it’s own unique style and rating system. They rely on a “he said-she said” banter in what they describe as a “low brow” approach for filmgoers. Their avowed purpose is to promote films to the general public rather than the movie industry. And they promise “not to give away the ending!”
They review all genres and maintain an extensive on-line archive of 500 plus film reviews. The Fuoco’s goal is to encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and occasionally try an art house film or two. Their endeavors result in an enjoyable, timely, and understandable review of popular film.
Now that’s a lot of popcorn!
