| Photo Op: Cassell family at the Super Boat Races on Lido Beach |
Tropical storm Debby may have re-sculpted and shortened our beach the past week but Sunday brought sunshine, smiles and a good crowd of members, relatives, former residents and friends for our annual Grand Prix Boat Race and Hotdog Party.

Our private beach access provides the best seat in the house to view the powerful monster boats as they noisily make their way to and from New Pass to the race course off Lido Key's public beach. Some took to the welcome shade of our Pavilion as their reviewing stand, while more industrious members set up their own tents and umbrellas and others waded out to get a birds eye view.
Once again, Chicago dogs with all the fixings were provided by Tasty Takeout. Thanks to
Anne and Bob Essner for organizing the fun festivities.
