As regular readers know, when any of our members are involved in worthwhile, charitable projects, we like to help promote them. This one happens to be one of your Editor's favorite local causes, and would appreciate your consideration in attending or supporting it.
It's called Sea2Shore Alliance, a non-profit scientific group that works locally, nationally and internationally to help research, protect and save habitats for manatees, sea turtles and a rare species, Right Whales.
That said, Sea2Shore Alliance is hosting a Fundraising Event on Tuesday, January 24th, at the Unitarian Church of Sarasota, 3475 Fruitville Road (map). I'm a board member of this non-profit organization. It's something Susie and I believe in, and hope you will too.
The event is $35 per person, and features world renowned wildlife photographer Wayne Lynch, a silent auction, wine and dessert. If you're unable to attend, please consider making a donation to help continue these crucial studies. And pass along this invite to any friends or fellow Lido Shorians you think would be interested as well.
