Beach Pavilion Area Getting a Facelift

Frequent beach goers and sunset watchers already know what we're talking about. New Beach Committee Chair Ken Abt, along with Richard Labrie, has been busy clearing brush and invasive plants to the north of the sandy path leading to the beach. There's now a clear view of the Pavilion from the parking area.

Clearing the brush, along with a lush poison ivy crop,  revealed a long lost water spigot for feet washing. Larry Reinbach promises to get the water flowing again.

Plans are to finish grinding stumps and landscape the exposed area with drought resistant, non-invasive plant species. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

It's a long overdue and ambitious project. Hats off to Ken and Richard's efforts!
