First, there was the year off due to Covid. Then, we did meet last year, but in the LSPOA parking lot. So this year, (Sunday, February 5th) we finally got to dress up, be served an adult beverage or two to start, along with a meal and wine service... and hob nob with a great turnout of 81-of our neighbors at the Sarasota Yacht Club.
After an animated cocktail hour on the veranda, overlooking the Marina... members gathered in the Ballroom for the Annual Meeting portion of the evening... in the capable hands of second-year LSPOA President Cathy Voigts.

Cathy introduced fellow board members, Vice-President Bill Farber, Secretary Hilary Valentine, Treasurer Fik Isaac, returning board members Stuart Cassell and Jennifer Fleming, and our recently elected LSPOA directors Erika Ivanyi, Carol Fuoco and Ernie Smith.
Also getting a Presidential nod were New Member and Clicker Guru Katie Best, Beach Committee Head Elliott Himelfarb, Community Outreach Coordinator Denis Bischoff, Communications duo Bob Thill and Elliott Himelfarb... and Social Committee trio Jan Farber, Colleen Carroll, Carol Bowen, with Carol Fuoco coordinating volunteers.
Clever idea to signify new LSPOA members with a flower on their name tags. Kudo's to the social committee for their efforts in pulling off a well orchestrated evening.

Cathy laid out the 2022 Highlights, including:
- 25% property turnover the past two-years, resulting in 24-new memberships. 16 were in attendance and hosted by Board members
- LSPOA's Pavilion/Beach Concert Series. Thanks to Jan & Bill Farber and Susie & Bob Thill for instigating and orchestrating. (Singer Ariella will perform next on Thursday, March 2nd at 4:30 pm)
- March and October Potlucks hosted by the Farber's and Chris and Colleen Carroll
- Lobster Roll Food Truck at the Grand Prix July 4th Boat Races
- Building a reserve to eventually replace the aging Easement gates
- Board approval of $11,000 – $12,500 for a new Pavilion Aluminum roof
- Replacement of wood benches at the Bocce Court and Foot Wash Station
- Bocce Court repaired, new balls and storage. Combination 1001

And something new in 2023. Thanks to Merrel and Lisa Ketchum's generosity, we will be entertained by a live band in a Lido Shores Cul-de-Sac Street concert at the north end of Westway Drive on May 27th. Details to follow.
