| Lido Shorians play along with the Band |
Do we know just how lucky you are? Those of us who went back north for the Holidays had to vicariously experience the latest LSPOA Concert on the Beach, through pictures and video. (Many thanks to Janet Minker and Elliott Himelfarb for the excellent pics!). To those of you who avoided the frozen tundra this year and traded a sandy Lido Key beach for snow, you made the right call. The Syncopated Brass Band made a holiday themed encore appearance December 21st at the Pavilion, ringing in the spirit of the season with two trumpets, a French horn, trombone and tuba. Lido Shorians circled the Pav .... and sang along to classic favorites.

Dashing through the snow definitely took on new meaning as rolling Gulf waves gently accompanied the performance. It truly is a wonderful time of the year to experience this talented and entertaining ensemble. |

Conductor of the Pops Orchestra of Bradenton, Robyn Bell, introduced each song with a little background... and recruited a number of "talented" volunteers to participate... playing bells, maracas, clapper and slide whistle. LSPOA Board Member Bill Farber, who along with wife Jan co-sponsored the event, even guest conducted.Feliz Navidad and Happy New Year!
