Pet Waste Saga Lingers

Pet waste, bagged and tied, deposited in the street in front of a home on Center Place.
Since we re-printed our now annual scold to scofflaw pet owners, who repeatedly flaunt the Sarasota City Ordinance requiring pet waste be picked up, LSPOA members have sent in more lovely pictures of canine left behinds.

This latest gift to Lido Shores was photographed by new board member Bernard Melanson.  The wrapped gift adorns the street in front of 1222 Center Place.  What's notable here is that the nit-witted dog walker actually got the process half-right.  Picking up and bagging the dog poop.  GOOD job.  Bravo!  But, leaving the blue plastic wrapped baggie sitting smack dab in the middle of the street.  BAD.

LSPOA members who read this are encouraged to please let pet owners know that they are not residing or renting on a farm, but what we inn Lido Shores think is a rather nice, urban locale, where some sort of decorum is expected and appreciated.  Or let a member of the LSPOA Board know your displeasure, and if you know, let them know who the individuals are.

It's high time to single out those few thoughtless folks.  Any and all ideas appreciated.
