Editors Note: Anne Essner sent in this nice missive concerning our Irma Hurricane coverage and suggested we might want to pass it along. We demurred, but truth be told, it made our day.

Hi Bob and Janet,
I just made a donation to SOSS2 and entered into the exchange (below) with Peter Roekens, who (you may remember) came out to an LSPOA board meeting to tell us about his experiences battling the Army Corps of Engineers when we were first dealing with our beach erosion issue. I thought it was really lovely that he took the time to write and praise our website (we provided the private url) and its coverage of what was happening in the hood during Irma. Perhaps you could share it with our members. Sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are!xoxo,Anne

Anne, I want to repeat my kudos for the LSPOA newsletter. It generates a real sense of community that is missing in most places. It is well written and the pictures are great. An interesting sidelight is about the Irma reporting. We were on a boat in the Great Lakes when Irma blew by. The boat had very limited WiFi and no TV and I had used most of my phones data quota. For several days the reporting of the track in your newsletter was the only source of info I had about what was happening. Later I was able to get info from other sources but it sure was nice to get your newsletter. When we returned we found we had no damage to our unit and minor damage to the condo property. We all dodged the bullet on this one.Warmly,Peter
