Lido Beach, the 2009 winner of the Best Restored Beach Award, is vying to become the best of the best, and you can help. The public is invited to participate in a poll to help the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association identify the Best of the Restored Beaches in the United States. Lido has undergone four major renourishment projects, the most recent in 2009. That project restored more than 1.5 miles of beach to its pristine condition prior to the devastating 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons.
Lido is listed in the Urban Beaches section; you may cast a vote once every twenty-four hours through April 27. Only 14 days to go, so be sure to vote everyday!
