After many years of loyal service to the Lido Shores community, the wood benches at our bocce court and foot wash station are being retired. The cypress boards did their best to hold on, but in the end, rain, sun and humidity prevailed.
Special thanks to Ernie Smith, Randy Lasley, Mike Burns and Elliott Himelfarb for unloading the new recycled plastic seating.
The old benches will soon be removed and the salvageable material repurposed. Give the benches a tryout next time you're at the beach.
