David J. Trotochau was born on January 9, 1935 in Washington, DC. He was educated in Georgetown and Baltimore, MD until he joined the US Air Force when he was 17-years old, and served in the Korean War.
David had a gregarious way about him and a winning smile that he used to his advantage as a salesman in Beverly Hills, CA, before discovering his knitch in real estate. David loved the business, and soon opened Marina International Realty in Playa Del Rey, CA.
He later established David Trotochau Realty in Knoxville, TN with his wife Lois. Then in 1985 they moved to Sarasota, FL and began Yacht Harbor Realty, where he was owner/broker until his death on April 2, 2021.
David loved Sarasota and particularly Lido Shores. In addition to selling real estate, he and Lois developed and sold several homes on Lido Key, Lido Beach, St. Armands, and Lido Shores. He is survived by his wife, stepson James Anderson, 6-children and 11-grandchildren.
Private services were held on April 7, 2021. David Trotochau is buried in Sarasota National Cemetery.
