| Dead fish killed by red tide floating in Pansy Bayou |
Howard says:
" It has been suggested to me by a city employee that we might get quicker help in cleaning up the fish if many of us would call the Florida Wildlife Commission at 800-636-0511. I will call and explain that we are particularly disadvantaged since Pansy Bayou contains the dead fish because there is only one active outlet for them to float away. The stench is so bad at my place (on Morningside Drive) that I hesitate to walk outside and use the pool. If a lot of us call the Wildlife Commission, maybe the squeaky hinge will be oiled."
Thanks for the heads up, Howard. At this point, it certainly couldn't hurt... and may get some much needed attention. If anyone has other ideas (Diane Desenberg and Tom Mawn are using dead fish for fertilizer) please let us know.
