Sarasota Canopy Program Offers Free Trees

The City of Sarasota, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, is offering a limited number of free trees to homeowners through the Community Canopy program. When you plant the right tree in the right place, it can help improve air and water quality, manage stormwater runoff, sequester carbon, help you save money on your utility bills, and make neighborhoods more enjoyable.     It's a win for you and your entire community!

One of the following trees will be mailed directly to your home:

1. Chicksaw Plum
2. Crape Myrtle
3. Red Maple
4. Shumard Oak
5. Sweetbay Magnolia
