A spanking new baby manatee was born recently on the bayou. The newborn calf arrived near one of our neighbors' dock Friday on Pansy Bayou. Typically manatee calves weigh in around 66-pounds at birth.
The "shy" surrogate parents sent this amazing short movie clip of mother and baby surfacing for air near their dock. Congratulations!
