Lisa & Richard's Move to North Carolina is Official

It's hard to believe... but Lisa Kates and Richard LaBrie have officially moved to North Carolina.  They're currently staying in their mountain summer retreat in Maggie Valley, NC... but eventually plan to relocate to Asheville.  They closed on their Lido Shores home at 200 Morningside Drive on May 31st.

Lisa's parents moved to Lido Shores in 1959... and she has been here ever since.  Richard and Lisa built their current home on the same lot on Pansy Bayou in 2005.

The couple has been active over the years in the neighborhood, each having served stints on the LSPOA Board, and as official and unofficial welcome wagon volunteers to new neighbors.

Lisa and Richard were the first Lido Shorians Susie and I met while contemplating buying a home in Sarasota back in 2004.

They were dining on St. Armand's Circle and overheard us discussing buying a home in Lido Shores as we walked past.  They introduced themselves, we shared a bottle of wine, they extolled the virtues of our neighborhood and we bought a house the next day.

You've likely seen Richard biking around the hood... keeping tabs on everyone... and always available to lend a hand at the beach.
