Our friend and Lido Shores community leader emeritus Bob Garvin has died. Bob passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 27 after a long bout with cancer. Bob moved to Sarasota in 1992 and soon after moved to Lido Shores, purchasing the iconic former Phillip Hiss Library on Westway Drive.
Our sincere condolences to Julie, Bob's sons and family. Funeral arrangements have yet to be determined.
